Symposium on Deposit Insurance Cross-Border Issues

An audience of 105 IADI Members, Associates, Observers and Partners attended the IADI Symposium on Cross-Border Issues held at the Bank for International Settlements on the occasion of the Assocation's Fifth Anniversary, on 3 May 2007. Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency was also represented in this event by ensuring the participation of its three representatives.
The symposium aimed at sharing experience of different countries in managing the complicated processes, which derive from cross-border insolvencies, putting the emphasis on the importance and means of co-operation with supervisory authorities of other countries in response to response to cross-border failing banks.
