WORKSHOP “Public Awareness on the Issues of Deposit Insurance ", held in Pogradec.

Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency and Albanian Association of Banks in the framework of strengthening the cooperation with the second level Banks in Albania, member of insurance scheme, and in compliance with “Deposit Insurance Law”, no. 8873, date 29.03.2002, organized in Pogradec, on December 19th, 2008, a workshop concerning “Public awareness on Deposit Insurance in Albania”.

This event, following the meetings held in Tirana, Vlora, Saranda and Shkoder  was attended by executives and experts from Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency and representatives of the banks operating in Eastern region of Albania.
The main purpose of this activity was the presentation of deposit insurance issues and exchange of information among participants of the deposit insurance scheme, aiming to raise their professional performance in applying the obligations deriving from the Law no. 8873, date 29.03.2002 “On Deposit Insurance”. This seminar concluded the cycle of seminars organized by DIA in the framework of public education campaign on deposit insurance issues for the year 2008.
